An American Musical Odyssey

From April Love to The Eve of Destruction : An American Musical Odyssey, 1958 to 1973

Popular music has always been a reflection of life and no more so than from the placid ‘50’s to the swinging 60’s and ultimately the turbulent ‘70’s. Using original recordings of the time (Feel free to sing along; you know you want to!), we will analyze the history, society and ethos of those fifteen years to discover the influence of music on the times and vice versa.
